Main Responsibilities of the Job

This is a pivotal role in the data and platform solutions team tasked with maintaining expert knowledge in digital tag management and tag implementations. In this role you will work with top brands to help unlock opportunities through the application and management of tagging solutions and 1st party data.Success in this role requires expertise in the fundamentals of digital marketing, JavaScript, strong communication skills and a drive to help clients develop an affective data strategy which feeds into their digital marketing aims.

Day-to-day Tasks of the Role

You will join the data solutions team responsible for increasing growth of revenue for each client through the deployment of technology and data analytics. They include data scientists who have consulted across the globe, user experience experts who have produced both consumer facing and highly technical trade interfaces, PhD mathematicians with decades of combined experience, search and display planner/buyers with their pulse on the marketplace and research gurus who help bring brands to life.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a “maker community.” If a client has a problem and a solution doesn’t currently exist, this team will work to create it and add value to that client’s business.This position must work collaboratively with a variety of internal functions, including Client Solutions, Engineering, and Account Management

Daily tasks you will be responsible for include:

– Quality Assess page elements using client-side debugging tools like FireBug, Charles Proxy and Fiddler
– Identify and decipher recurrent issues, provide possible solutions, and follow-up on their escalations
– Document reusable solutions which could be shared with other clients
– This position does not involve tremendous amounts of presenting, however the individual in this role is expected to, within the team, comfortably articulate and comfortably demonstrate the ability to translate technical subject matter into relatable business terminology and respond to unexpected questions on the spot
– Instruct on best practice implementation of tags/codes to ensure integrity data and/or tests
– Bring a passion for innovation to continue to improve and evolve existing best practices through team collaboration

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone with two to three years’ experience in digital marketing, with a focus on data analysis.

– 2-3yrs experience within a digital marketing function
– Experience with client-side scripting including JavaScript, Regular Expression and DOM manipulation knowledge
– Analytical mind-set with knowledge and passion for media, data and technology
– Experience with QA browser and code testing
– Someone comfortable working in a collaborative working environment
– The ability to ability to decompose complex procedures into tactical steps
– Understand browser based technologies and the data elements that browsers use
– Understanding of cookie and cookie-like tracking techniques
– Understanding of best practices surrounding data integration techniques
– Understand data flow designs, processes and implementations
– Understand the development of standard data implementation procedures
– Understanding of third party ad server technologies such as DoubleClick DART
– Knowledge of the digital advertising ecosystem including major media, creative and data solution vendors

Knowledge of ad operations and ad technology, possessing working familiarity with the following platforms:

– 3rd-Party Ad-Servers: DoubleClick (DFA), MediaMind
– Web Analytics: Omniture, Google Analytics
– Tag Management: Tealium, TagMan/Ensighten, Signal, Google Tag Manager
